From the 12th to the 18th of May 2025, HPMS proudly took part in Mental Health Awareness Week—an important initiative dedicated to breaking stigma, sparking conversations, and promoting wellbeing in all its forms. This year’s theme, “Movement: Moving More for Our Mental Health”, was expanded through a powerful lens for us: movement and community. Two simple concepts that, when brought together, form the heart of who we are.
At HPMS, community isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we actively build. Whether it’s in the day-to-day support within our teams, through the relationships we foster with our customers, or in collaboration with our contractors, we understand that real strength comes from connection.
Wear It Green Day: Cake, Chat, and Connection
As part of our Mental Health Awareness Week support, HPMS took part in Wear It Green Day. Staff were encouraged to wear green in support of mental health awareness, and we hosted a special “Cake and Chat” event. This wasn’t just about enjoying cookies and doughnuts (though there were plenty of those!)—it was about creating the space to move away from our desks, reconnect with colleagues, and encouraging conversations.
Movement isn’t always about steps and exercise—it’s also about shifting our mindset, reaching out, and making time for each other. Our event was a gentle reminder of how powerful it can be to simply pause, check in, and share a moment with someone.
We also ensured that mental health resources were available for anyone who wanted to learn more or needed support—leaflets, guidance, and signposts to professional help were on hand. While Mental Health Awareness Week is important to recognise, at HPMS, we believe this is something that should be recognised every day.
It’s okay not to be okay—and no one should ever feel they have to struggle in silence. Our message is simple: you’re never alone, and support is always available.
