RICS – Untangling tenement maintenance in Scotland

Common Building Insurance

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors recently published an interesting article on the challenges around tenement maintenance in Scotland.

The article explores the varied approach to maintenance and provides an update on the progress of the Working Group on Tenement Maintenance.

Following a meeting in February, the Working Group on Tenement Maintenance agreed to form five subgroups and for each group to report back on their various topics, with the likes of Development Management Schemes, Duty to Maintain Standards, Renewables, Contact Details for Homeowners, Debt Recovery and Tenement Inspections being considered.

As the work of these subgroups develops, we will aim to update our customers on this topic via our website news.

In the meantime, you can click here to read the article in full.
