Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 – Code of Conduct for Property Factors

Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011

Following on from our June story on the implementation of the revised Code of Conduct for Property Factors, the revised Code came into force today.

We have been busy researching, investigating, and assessing the impact this will have on us and the terms of our existing engagements with our customers. The changes arising from this Code revision, whilst not reflecting any substantial deviation from our existing customer terms, are considerable and our revised terms are currently being redrafted to accommodate all applicable revisions. Given the administration involved in this exercise, coupled with the additional training required, our amended terms are not yet available.

In understanding the importance of compliance with both the Act and its Code and to satisfy the terms of the Code, our amended Terms of Service and Delivery Standards will be uploaded to our My H&P portal week commencing 6th September, with all our customers informed accordingly.
