Hacking and Paterson Management Services are delighted to announce Alan Maxwell’s re-election as President of the Property Managers Association Scotland for 2018.
Alan has spent a working lifetime in factoring, joining Hacking and Paterson in 1990 having previously worked for the long established Harvey and Donaldson. In 2006, Alan shifted his focus to our Edinburgh office and was instrumental in the growth of our factoring customer services on the East coast, returning to our Glasgow office in 2018.
His vast experience in the industry has seen him involved in several major projects such as the tenement refurbishments of the 80’s, the introduction of Housing Legislation in 2003 and 2004 and more recently the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011.
Alan is a proud and long-time supporter of the Property Managers Association Scotland, being appointed President in 2017 for the second time in his career.
Speaking on his appointment Alan said:
“I was delighted and honoured to be elected as President of PMAS for 2018. PMAS has gone through considerable change in the last few years and our goal for 2018 is to cement our members’ positions at the forefront of the industry, expanding their knowledge through our involvement with the Scottish Government, RICS, MSP’s, Local Authorities, developing and promoting factoring services throughout the country for the benefit of the home owning public”.
