HPMS Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

international womens day 2025

Last Friday, HPMS came together to celebrate International Women’s Day with some fun, creativity, and a whole lot of purple! The colour theme for this year’s ‘International Women’s Day’ was all about the colour purple, and we fully embraced it in every way possible.

It all kicked off with a Dress Down Day, where staff were encouraged to wear as little or as much purple as they liked – and, of course, donations were collected in support of a chosen charity called Women’s Fund Scotland.

The purple fun didn’t stop there! We also had a bake sale that had our staff putting on their baking hats to whip up some delicious, sweet treats. Staff members could enjoy a little Friday treat, all in exchange for a donation. Cupcakes, cookies, brownies lots more were up for grabs, and let’s just say… we were all in a cake coma by the end of it!

The office was decked out in purple decorations, with affirmation stations popping up across the space. These stations featured inspirational quotes from female leaders and celebrities, as well as positive affirmations written by our very own staff. It was a lovely reminder of the powerful, uplifting words we can all live by and share with each other.

And if that wasn’t enough, we had a “Voice Board” where staff could write and share how they were feeling this International Women’s Day. Here is a quick read at some of the words featured on our board: Slay, Empowered, Proud, Positive, Strong, Inspired, Fierce, Full of Cake (quite literally)– We couldn’t help but smile reading them all.

To keep the inspiration flowing, we also launched a Teams channel where staff could share stories about women who inspire them. Whether it was a family member, a friend, a celebrity, or a work colleague people were sharing heartfelt stories and recognising the incredible women who have made a difference in their lives.

Last of all, we added a bit of fun to the lunch break with a movie! Staff chose which movie they’d like to watch in our communal space, ‘The Hub.’ The vote was in, and the classic feel-good movie Legally Blonde was the winner! Staff gathered, catching up and enjoying the legendary film that gave us all a few good laughs!

Thanks to the combined efforts of our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices, we’re thrilled to share that we raised an incredible £500 for Women’s Fund Scotland in celebration of International Women’s Day. All in all, it was a fantastic celebration of women, empowerment, and positivity. HPMS staff made sure to make International Women’s Day meaningful and memorable.

At HPMS we will continue to support and uplift each other every day, celebrating strengths and achievements in every form!

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at HPMS!
