HPMS Inspires Young Minds at ‘Together with Ambition’ Conference

HPMS Inspires Young Minds

Last week, members of the HPMS team took part in the ‘Together with Ambition’ conference at Mearns Primary School, where P7 pupils from different schools explored various career opportunities and engaged with professionals from different industries.

HPMS was proud to have its own interactive stall, designed to make property factoring fun and easy to understand for the pupils. Our goal was to introduce young minds to the world of property factoring and show them how important our work is in maintaining communities.

Kirsty and Ryan, two of our Team Managers, had fantastic conversations with the children, breaking down key property factoring concepts in a way that was engaging and relatable. We made sure our stall was interactive and exciting – because we all know that kids love to have fun while they learn!

One of the highlights of our stall was the Duplo building blocks activity. Each block represented an important characteristic of property management, and as children read them, our team explained why they were essential. The pupils then added their block to a growing tower, reinforcing the idea that strong foundations and teamwork are key in our industry.

We also included a mix of HPMS stickers and QR codes linking to our website, all personally created by our team! Our commitment and enthusiasm for our job and community really shine through in these efforts. Additionally, our team made comic-style colouring strips that told the story of a leak in a property, showcasing how HPMS steps in to save the day. Another favourite was our ‘Draw Your Community’ board, where children designed their ideal community and added features they loved or thought we could help maintain. This gave us valuable insight into what young people value in their surroundings, while also explaining how property factors can help maintain these spaces.

Encouraging young people to think about different career paths from an early age is something we are passionate about. Who knows? Maybe we inspired some future property managers at the event!

A big thank you to Kirsty, Ryan, Emma, and Robyn for taking the time to go and inspire young minds with all thing’s property! Their feedback was very positive, and it seemed they had as much fun as the children… an exciting day out for all!
