Success Story – Calvin Watson

Next in our series of HPMS Success Stories, we would like to celebrate Calvin Watson, a Team Manager in our Glasgow Office.

Calvin joined HPMS in November 2015 as an Assistant Property Manager, fresh from graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA (Hons) in Business Law. His desire for a long-term career in the property management industry is well on its way with Calvin being promoted to Team Manager four years ago and seamlessly being able to take on responsibility not only for a large district, but also handling the training and management of his team of Property Managers.

Calvin loves his work and gains a great deal of job satisfaction from it – particularly when his hard work is recognised in the fantastic number of positive customer reviews he regularly receives. Calvin is proud of his ability to transform a tricky situation into a positive outcome and also says:

“It is great to see works through from start to finish where we can help multiple clients achieve results at their property which could not have been completed without us.”

Over his eight years with the company, Calvin has acknowledged that experience and knowledge take time. He says:

“I was always eager to know everything and be able to answer every single question immediately, but I have a better understanding and a broader knowledge now, enough to understand that we have such a great support team around us to help in certain circumstances and to learn from too.”

Calvin spearheaded HPMS’s engagement with the new IRPM qualification, successfully achieving his Professional Diploma in Property Factoring in January 2022, and allowing him to pass on valuable knowledge and tips to the rest of the group who have been studying for this over the past year.

Alongside his desire for his career at HPMS to continue going from strength to strength, Calvin dreams of one day golfing at Pebble Beach in the USA!
