Erskine Park Care Home

Erskine Park Care Home

We continue our Charitable Giving Initiative 2021 this month with a £500 donation to Erskine, a charity which has been caring for Veterans since 1916. Erskine not only strikes a personal chord with many of our staff whose family members have been looked after in the care homes, but HPMS have also enjoyed a long professional relationship with the charity, having previously dealt with rental and tenancy matters for them for many years.

Erskine supports nearly 1,000 Veterans and their families each year by providing nursing, residential, respite and dementia care through four care homes across Scotland and a variety of services at Erskine Veterans Village which supports veterans of all ages.

Erskine also provides 44 cottages for Veterans and their families on the Estate of Bishopton which, while being entirely self-contained, also allow residents the opportunity to access advice and support where needed.

In addition, the 5 Assisted Living Apartments on the Erskine Veterans Village Estate provide accommodation and services to elderly or disabled Veterans and / or their spouse, enabling them to live in their own home for as long as possible through access to a range of support services and social activities. A dedicated activities team provides entertainment and organised day or evening trips which are of huge importance to residents’ health and wellbeing.

Further, the charity has recently completed the build of 24 fully-furnished apartments on the Bishopton Estate which are prioritised for occupation by single ex-service men and women of working age to support those whose lives or transition plans have been disrupted.

Kirsten Wols-Graham, Deputy Head of Fundraising at Erskine, was thrilled that they have been nominated as our charity of the month and she passes on her sincere thanks to everyone at HPMS.
