January 2021 Charitable News Story

January 2021 Charitable News Story

As you may already have noted from our company website, Hacking and Paterson made various charitable donations during the course of 2020, including donations to Shelter Scotland, Social Bite, and CHAS Hospice to name a few.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, and our ongoing commitment to supporting local and national charities this year, we have decided to form a Charitable Giving Initiative for 2021, with the company committing to donating £500 each month to a different charity.

We have therefore invited all our employees to nominate charities that they would like Hacking and Paterson to consider making a donation to in 2021. From these nominations, we will compile a listing of those charities who will receive a donation from the company in the year ahead.

In January 2021, we decided to make a £500 donation to Barratt West Scotland who will be taking part in a Barratt Group Wide Challenge. Each Division is being challenged to cover 500,000 metres and in the process, raise as much money as possible for the Prince’s Trust Million Makers Project.

The Barratt Group Wide challenge starts on Monday 25th January through to Friday 12th February and employees are being encouraged to lace up their trainers and run, walk or cycle their way to covering 500,000 metres. A just giving page has been set up for the West Scotland Division, please see link below:

At the Prince’s Trust, they believe that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. They help them to find the tools and confidence to try free courses and start careers. They are open to young people aged 11 to 30 from all over the UK – no matter if they have been facing serious issues, such as homelessness, or if they have been in trouble with the law.

Further information will follow regarding our Charitable Giving Initiative for 2021.
