Chris Breckenridge has joined Hacking and Paterson as the Chief Growth Officer, leading the business’s strategic growth through acquisitions, new market opportunities and long-term expansion.

A highly respected figure in Glasgow’s property market, Chris brings more than two decades of experience across the property sector. He began his career with Slater Hogg & Howison in 2005 before becoming Associate Director at Savills, where he built a strong reputation advising clients on high-value transactions. He later joined premium estate agency Corum Property as a Partner, further establishing himself as one of Scotland’s leading property professionals.

Known for his commercial insight and client-focused approach, Chris combines extensive market knowledge with a proven ability to build relationships and identify opportunities for growth. In his role at Hacking and Paterson, his focus extends beyond expansion, with a strong ambition to help improve perceptions of the property sector and enhance the overall experience for customers.

Having worked across different areas of the property market throughout his career, Chris has seen first-hand where gaps can exist across the property journey. He sees a significant opportunity to bring complementary services closer together, creating a more joined-up experience for buyers and homeowners.

Chris will also play a key role in identifying merger and acquisition opportunities, expanding into new areas and exploring longer-term opportunities beyond Scotland.

Before beginning his career in property, Chris played rugby for Glasgow Hawks and GHK Rugby Club, experiences that continue to influence his leadership style today. Outside work, he enjoys rugby, golf and family life, and is proud to coach his son Freddie at GHK.

Chris is passionate about helping Hacking and Paterson deliver its ambitious growth plans while maintaining the trusted, relationship-led approach that has defined his career.
