A Night of Fun and Fundraising for the Beatson Charity.
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of attending an unforgettable evening at Oran Mor, where Hacking and Paterson Management Services proudly sponsored the Persimmon Homes Charity Sports Quiz in support of the Beatson Charity. This isn’t our first time partnering with Persimmon for a charitable cause, and it’s always rewarding to be involved in events that bring the community together for a good purpose. The night filled with laughter, friendly competitiveness, and a shared commitment to making a difference in our community.
Our team, named the “Smartinis,” embraced the challenge of a quiz with enthusiasm. Finishing 8th out of 21 teams, we might not have taken home the trophy, but we certainly held our own ranking in the top 10! The night showed that competition can be both spirited and fun.
The quiz night was packed with various engaging activities. The night not only tested our knowledge, but we also enjoyed a lively, humorous Q&A session featuring ex-professional footballers Frank McAvennie and John Brown. Their stories and insights added a unique touch to the evening, making it an unforgettable experience for not only sports fan, but for everyone!
Alongside the quiz, the evening featured an exciting auction and a raffle, offering some fantastic prizes up for grabs. We also joined in on a lively game of Irish bingo, which not only added to the fun atmosphere but also checked off our first experience with it from the bucket list!
Above all, the event underscored the importance of community support. Every ticket sold, every bid placed, and every raffle ticket purchased contributed to the vital work of the Beatson Charity. It’s inspiring to see so many come together for a worthy cause, all while enjoying a night filled with entertainment.
